Now here's an offer you can't refuse:
The other day I was thinking about on-line e-learning and how it has taken off with things like the PADI e-learning package. And then it struck me - I could coach someone through to their first published article using this blog alone, no phone calls, no e-mails, just the blog, the comments system and the posts.
By using this coaching method others could watch in on the progress and learn as the budding photojournalist develops their initial idea through to publication.
As for the cost? I'd be happy to do this for no charge, just to see how and if it can be done.
My skills in this area? Well, I have a Masters in Education where I specialised in Training and Evaluation. I also have vocational qualifications in coaching, learning and development, design, assessment and internal quality assurance as well as experience in designing and preparing e-learning packages (albeit from about eight years ago).
if I can't 'blog coach' you I'm guessing no-one can!
The criteria:
Lots of enthusiasm
A desire to get published and you are prepared to work at it until you do
You can string a few sentences together
Your own, or have access to, half decent underwater and above water photographs to support your article
You've not been published and been paid for it before
And you don't live in the UK (for those that do, I'll be running a photojournalist workshop with Maria Munn from Oceanvisions in October - watch this space)
If you are interested drop me a line via e-mail:
Keep writing...

Interesting idea. Any bites yet? You've piqued my interest.
